Row 1 (two groups): Ted just graduated from high school and has moved away to college. He lives in the dorms but has an off-campus job that gets to by driving his car.
Row 2 (two groups): Barney is a 35 year old single guy that has a good paying job. He bought a condo and drives a nice car.
Row 3 (two groups): Marshall and Lily are recently married college students that have no children. They rent an apartment and both drive cars to work.
Row 4 (two groups): Robyn is a married woman in her early thirties. Her husband works and she stays at home with their 3 children. Robyn and her husband bought a nice house in the suburbs and each have a car.
Row 5 (two groups): Carl is a married man in his late fifties. He and his wife have four children and the oldest is a college student. Carl and his wife almost have their mortgage paid off and own four cars for their family. Carl works a well-paid job in the oil fields that can be dangerous work but forces him to be gone a lot. Carl's wife also works full-time job.
Side rows (two groups): Ranjit is a taxi driver in a big city. He has been married to his wife for forty years. They raised two children who are each married. With the minimal pay of being a taxi driver, Ranjit has been able to provide for his family so his wife can stay home but he has his wife still rent a small apartment in the city.
